Rainbowman had several powers. Including flight, "Rainbow Flash", explosive energy from his fingertips, and "Rainbow Barrier" which blocked the monsters attacks. I remember that in one episode he turned one of his sunbeams into a sword. Yamato Takeshi would almost always start with Rainbow dash 7, then switch to one of his other forms as needed. Dash 7 and dash 5 could both fly. For long trips such as, India to Japan, Takeshi would use dash 7 and turn into a flying white ball. For short trips Takeshi would most often use dash 5.

Rainbowman's seven forms are based on the Japanese names for the seven days of the week. The full title of the series was "Ai No Senshi Rainbowman" . In English, "Warrior of Love Rainbowman".

These are enlarged pictures, each figure is actually only about 3 inches tall. They were originally sold inside plastic capsules from vending machines.
